Who we are:
What personal data we collect and why we collect it:
We collect information from you when you place an order such as name, email address, delivery address, billing address, payment method details and other relevant information required in order to register the use of the website and fulfilling an order.
We also collect information from you when you interact with the blog section of the website.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Sharing your information:
We will never sell any personal data to a third party. In order to fulfil an order you have placed with us, we may need to share information with third parties, such as suppliers, couriers and payment providers.
Retaining your information:
All sensitive information is held securely in our systems. If you no longer wish to be a customer please contact us at email@example.com
to request that we delete all the information we have on you.
If you leave a comment in our blog section, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
What we do with the information we gather:
We require the information we gather to understand your needs and provide you with a better service.
Primarily we use the data you provide to us to fulfil our contract with you: we use your delivery address to know where to send your order and we use your email address to update you about your order status.
Where we send your data:
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
What rights you have over your data
Subject to applicable law, you may have the rights to:
- Not to provide personal data to use, such as email address (note this may mean we are unable to provide you with the full site benefits, including order processing).
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request rectification of inaccuracies in personal data we hold about you
- Request that we delete your data or stop processing it
- To stop direct marketing messages
- To object to profiling
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
We will not send you marketing information unless you choose to opt-in either by signing up to our newsletter, using an online form or entering a competition and asking us to send you emails.
If at any time you would like to opt-out of email marketing please let us know by emailing us as firstname.lastname@example.org
. Please note these changes can sometimes take a few days to take effect and you will still receive relevant emails regarding any orders placed.
